Phil is a Qualified Secondary School music teacher with fifteen years experience of classroom teaching, delivering music workshops, designing music curricula and training other professionals.​ He has four years experience of teaching music in Primary School settings.

Phil's full time teaching posts have included Head of Music at Westminster Academy and Course Leader for Music at Abbey Manor College (the Pupil Referral Unit for Lewisham, South London). He is currently the music teacher at The Children's School at Great Ormond Street Hospital School, one of the largest children's hospital in the UK and at University College Hospital in Camden . 

Projects:

From 2015- 2019 Phil was the co-founder and audio projects lead for SkillMix, a community music project working in South London. 

Phil has worked with a variety of organisations on education projects including:

  • Serious Productions (Pass It On)

  • The Royal Opera House (Creative Exchange)

  • The Brit School (Sounds of the Manor)

  • The National Youth Jazz Orchestra

  • The National Association for Hospital Education (conference presentation) 

  • Sound Connections (Get Business Ready)

  • Good Vibrations (workshop facilitation)
